  • Visiting Disney World

It is extremely difficult to find a child in the United States that hasn’t dreamed of visiting Disney World at one time or another. And if there is a such a child, the chances are that their parents have dreams of taking them there — either because they loved visiting the park as a kid or because they were never able to afford to go and want to give their child the experience they never had.

While some parents are put off by the recent rash of Disney World accidents , the actual rates of serious accidents at parks is fairly insignificant. By taking some simple precautions, such as teaching kids to follow all park rules and remembering to wear appropriate clothing, stay hydrated, and use lots of sunblock, most families will have an incident — and accident — free visit.

The trick to a successful Disney vacation is pre-planning. By doing the research ahead of time as to park hours, parking restrictions, and other logistics, parents can make sure that they aren’t surprised when they reach Orlando. They can also find out about parade schedules, specific character appearances and the availability of special attractions and events at the park. This will go a long way to making sure their children have that memorable Disney experience.
