  • London is Full of Amazing Sights

Planning a trip to London? Overwhelmed by the number of must see sights and attractions that you want to squeeze into your schedule? Don’t know where to start? If finances are an issue, keep in mind that almost all of the city’s museums and parks are free. It is also free to gaze at architecture from a distance and enjoy stunning views of the Thames, the Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge and the city’s amazing churches and palaces. For everything else, you can purchase a London Pass or other discount package that will provide admission to all the cool sites and sights without having to pay separate fees.

It is, however, possible to spend an entire trip wandering through London museums. Start with that National Gallery if you love fine art. Science lovers should head to the Natural History Museum and those that love history will find much to peruse at the British Museum. Other museums of note include the National Portrait Gallery, the Tate Modern, and the Churchill Museum. There are actually over 200 museums in the city, so choose carefully.

The city is also filled with public parks, many of which were designed as part of royal estates or as hunting grounds for the royal family. If you want to slip out of the bustle of the city in order to enjoy some nature, there are plenty of places to picnic, walk, or simply sit and enjoy an open space. Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are perhaps the most well-known. Regent’s Park and St. James’s parks are also quite popular with residents as well as tourists. Those who want a less manicured park will enjoy the wildness of Hampstead Heath while cyclists will want to check out Richmond Park.
