Club Scene in Delhi is Surprisingly Growing

Delhi is essentially like New York City on steroids. Not that Delhi is all bad; it’s just a city of extremes. Trash, poverty and pollution right next to rich luxurious Delhi hotels . There are people who can afford riding around in air-conditioned cars, while others ride elephants across the street at night. Consumerist billboards of Western modernization right across the street from temples belonging to one of India’s 200 religions.
After 10pm and right after 11pm, the city of Delhi virtually shuts down. Everything is silent, nothing really moves. But, head down to the south side of the city to the right market places, the clubs are bumping and jumping. Delhi is the last city one expects to find a thriving night life, but they’ve got clubs and bars just as fancy, and sometime fancier than Goa.
There are clubs for dancing, smoking hookah, lounging and enjoying a meal beneath speakers blasting the most current house music. Since most of the clubbers are students, they manage to fill the club scene every night when there isn’t a class is in session.
One of the better clubs is Urban Pind ; it’s a dance club that offers ‘Ladies Night’ on Wednesdays. The females get to drink for free until midnight! Needless to say, this also brings in all the available men in the city. Urban Pind can have 3 men to 12 girls, so the free drinks get passed around to the men who the females favor.
