Finding a Place to Eat in Singapore

Everywhere I have ever been, which is many, many places, there is nowhere more organized, more cleaner or more easier to get around than Singapore. Plus, there’s virtually no violent crime, but there is a catch, there are tons of illegal things that go along with stiff penalties, like chewing gum! There’s a $650 fine for eating on the subway and there’s even jail time for having in ones possession a girly magazine. The list goes on and on, but I think you get the point.
I rode the Metro aimlessly, well purposely really, in hopes of finding some interesting part of the city. Because, Singapore is a very affluent and a very small nation, so most of the natural and historical sights are few and far in between. Their attractions are manufactured, so getting lost in a small nation might not be easy to do.
While I was aimlessly riding on the Metro, I pulled out my laptop and plugged in my Internet card to see if I might find an interesting Singapore restaurant , and came across this site. I liked it because it was like playing roulette, I could pick and area and see what restaurants popped up. I was lucky! I picked ‘East’ and tons of restaurants pulled up, so I picked page 3 and read about the restaurants on page 3 and picked the first restaurant listed – Street Cafe located in the Pasir Ris area of Singapore. I was also lucky that my next stop was at Pasir Ris! How synchronic! I think the next time I’m in search of a restaurant, I’ll have to once again find that website and take my chances at finding a restaurant.
I found Streets Cafe and it was a charming place that served Asian cuisine. Since I didn’t know this part of town, I decided to take a walk around and just explore a bit. After all, I am on an adventure.
