You may find a fabulous room at one of our hotels around Buffalo New York listed here www.hotelsbuffalo.net and get inspired to see more fancy or interesting buildings. In some views, Buffalo is considered one of the best places to see some great American architecture. There are many buildings that are listed with the National Register of Historic Places and have works of art from all the major architects of America building in the 19th and 20th century. They city has preserved their architectural heritage well.

Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux  built some amazing parks for the city. Olmsted designed his first interconnected park for the city of Buffalo now called Delaware Park. It is a pride and joy for the city and is filled with memorials and entertainment sites for everyone to enjoy. There are lakes and ponds surrounded by green grass and lush trees. It is a nice day to walk. Then there is the Guaranty Building which was built by Louis Sullivan. It was one of the worlds first skyscrapers and curtain walled, steel supported buildings. James A Johnson built in Buffalo the first hotel that had private bathrooms in each room. It was originally called The Statler and is now called Hotel Buffalo.

Frank Lloyd Wright had is hand in the skyline of Buffalo. He built the Darwin D Martin House, William R Heath House, George Barton House, The Graycliff Estate and the Walter V Davidson house. The Larkin Administration Building was also his but that didn’t survive the years. Only Chicago has more Frank Lloyd Wright buildings than Buffalo. Wright designed more than a 1000 projects and there were at least 500 buildings built in towns all across the country. He was originally from Wisconsin and died in Phoenix Arizona in 1959.
