Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City Utah has a great deal of beautiful buildings and cultural landmarks to attract visitors and tourists who stay in a nice hotel Salt Lake every year. In addition there are some state of the art public services and institutions that contribute to the overall prestige and progressive dynamic of the city. One of these is its Clark Planetarium located east of Highway 15 at 110 S. 400 W.
The planetarium is open to the public three hundred and sixty three days a year. The only days it closes are on Thanksgiving and Christmas of each year. It also closes early on Christmas Eve and has a special schedule for other holidays. The planetarium has many impressive features including an IMAX theatre that shows some incredible educational yet entertaining films. Some of the shows that are presented on the IMAX screen include a special program about black holes, a show on dinosaurs that is interesting to the entire family and is in 3D and also a special tour with a fighter pilot.
Other major features of the planetarium include its incredible Cosmic Light Shows. Pink Floyd’s The Wall is for ages eighteen and older makes incredible use of visual imagery. The Dark Side of the Moon combines the Music of Pink Floyd with visual images from space and of course the moon. It is appropriate for audience members eight years and older. And for audiences of all ages there is an incredible U2 show that features their incredible music set to an amazing light and laser show. The planetarium also has some incredible exhibits and they are free with admission to the planetarium. Science centers and planetariums across the nation are becoming more popular and accessible with families and visitors of all ages. They are also providing great shows and educational features and Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City ranks among the best.
